Egberto Gismonti – Trem Caipira
MP3 | 320Kbps | 92 Mb | 1985 | Covers | Latin American, Brazilian, Instrumental
On Trem Caipira, Gismonti reworks music by the Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, mainly with a synthesizers-sound and an acoustic band. A project like this could go awfully wrong. Well, it doesn’t. In spite of the fact that some of those synths sounds are hopelessly dated, the music has a charm of its own. This is due to the quality of Gismonti’s arrangements, to the musicians who add warmth with their acoustic instruments, and last not least, to the music of Villa-Lobos.
