Plot Outline: Mike Sullivan works as a hit man for crime boss John Rooney. Sullivan views Rooney as a father figure. However after his son is witness to a killing he has done Mike Sullivan finds him self on the run trying to save the life of his son and at the same time looking for revenge on those who wronged him. Jude Law co stars as a hit man hired to kill Sullivan.

Awards: Won Oscar. Another 17 wins & 47 nominations

Personal comments: This was the legendary Paul Newman’s last film (he hasn’t died, he retired). It’s not quite as impressive as American Beauty but it all looks very good, the content is not all that most of the time but this is never ment to be a thought provoking brainteaser like American Beauty. It is what it is, ‘just’ a gangster film but a good one…
